quotes Err not quite lol, that's what bikes with rearward axle paths are for.... demos are for carrying speed over stuff and smashing turns but if you like ploughing through stuff then I'd suggest a different bike - you gotta treat these with respect dude.

quotes Cheers dude :) Yeah they ride just the same as any other fsr bike I've ridden... only my sx-t was naff as it wasn't shim stacked correctly but there you go :/

quotes Nope still got the gambler but always fancied a demo so this is my training bike in winter and much easier to throw around :)

quotes Looks painful! But then again I'm not surprised by that if he didn't run bar ends plugs.... he'll learn next time!

quotes Aye it is indeed, although the frame comes up halfway between a small and medium size for me (5' 11'') :)

quotes Aye you don't normally get one without the other unless you're running something like an oem cart like a stage 4 :) But then again no-on really runs alot of lsc as you only have to use a little as you can get away with to braking blah blah blah - either way totems look verrry nice indeed and soo tempting but fairly expensive as are most things these days!

quotes Sorry dude I meant LSC just realised :)

quotes 2008 Demo 7 II buddy :D Didn't really like my 08 sx trail and hopefully this will be better but it's more to do with the shim stacking and the damper itself rather than linkage design! My xmas present to myself haha

Jamesdh08 commented under Jamesdh08's photo ( Dec 24, 2011 at 14:04 )
quotes It's a toss up between totems or some 40s lowered to 185mm to get a super sick light dh bike and low front end :) Ahh well food for thought got a while yet before it'll be properly built up though but deffo going coil forks

Jamesdh08 commented under Jamesdh08's photo ( Dec 24, 2011 at 12:15 )
quotes Haha told you so :) Read the description for the answer to that... Just need headset, brakes, forks and tyres before I can start building! Cannot wait :D

I see what you mean, the demo could do with a few upgrades/ things doing to make it good. I'm thinking of getting a new cassette and shifter or something so the gears are decent at least. Also after some bigger disc brakes. Some 203mm would be ideal as I have a 185 and a 160 rear at the minute. I should hopefully be able to do these things after christmas. I may keep my kona frame and get some new cranks as the ones I have arent fettling well unless I got them rethreaded. The bb isn't to great either as I think I'm going to have to saw off the other crank and drill out the other pedal because it is stuck on but I can get a new axle for it so it's sound as they're only £6-7. Smile

Hmm, I'll have to see because I can bottom this spring now, I THINK it's a 350lbs but not sure. I may look into some fox 40's, sounds like a good deal you got on yours. I need to find a job again though as where I did work doesn't open till Easter(ish) Frown if I find somewhere to work after christmas and all through summer and that I would get some better forks. Although I am planning to build up another frame (a hardtail) as a do everything else/ play bike, as my demo is my only one, I still have some parts from my kona, like the frame, forks, stem, seatpost, seat, bars and a pair of pedals, I'm going to try and sell the frame, keep the forks and the other bits, I still have the cranks but they're not very good and the threads are f*cked. Razz im thinking of buying a nukeproof snap (if I have the money) as they're quite cheap at the moment on crc, I'd put the dj3's on it and just make a sweet dj/4x bike. Smile

Think I'm already on a 350lb spring. Lol dunno if it'd make much difference. It's ok for the time being main thing I need to get sorted is gears really. Would like to get some boxxers or something next year and definatley bigger disc rotors. Smile

I see, hope you find some at a reasonable price then. Demo is holding up well, was doing an uplift last weekend and was awesome handled everything, even if I did bottom it out a few times. :p why are you after demo bearings? Do you have one?

Going to run juicy 5's. (basically most things off my kona are going on) like brakes, bars, stem, wheels and gear shifter
